About X-Jacket
We developed a warm and affordable way to help the homeless stay safe from the cold at nights. This will help people who have no place to go at night. Many homeless shelters today do not have any beds available for new entries. The X-Jacket will keep them safe at night when they have no place to go. Our objective it to reach out to as many people as we can in a short amount of time.
We researched jackets, to find out what materials work best. We also looked into futuristic options for a jacket that could help someone survive the elements, such as portable heaters and solar panels. We wondered how we could fund our enterprise, so we researched companies, such as Tom's Shoes, that run under the Buy One, Give One model.
X-Jacket: A Fresh Perspective on Consumerism
We started our business one year ago, in the cold winter months. Our team was motivated to help the homeless after hearing about all of the deaths being caused from the harsh climate. There is a ongoing plight in the world, and we have vowed to help it. The X-Jacket is made out special thermal technology, our team is also working on figuring out how to include solar technology into the jacket to contain the heat.
